The beginning of the strike:
This interview aired on Pacifica radio's investigative news show, "FLAShPOINTS," on March 16th 2006. The host spoke with Bobby Lavery, Sinn Fein representative for North Belfast from 1985-89, and from '93-2000 who was also an ex-prisoner of Long Kesh. The other voice is that of Terry Kirby, who was imprisoned in Long Kesh during the Blanket Protest and the Hunger Strike of 1981. Terry was one of 38 men who managed to escape Long Kesh in 1983.
